This is the story of a false suicide, that of two men in decline, protagonists of a tragic end. On one side, the old mayor of a town who, cornered by dozens of complaints that for years he evaded with total impunity, plans to escape by simulating his own death… for that he needs a corpse. On the other, his son-in-law, whom he never loved as her daughter’s husband, the owner of the emblematic town restaurant who, after losing everything overnight, is foolish in the face of his wife’s efforts to get ahead and immersed in a deep depression; he is willing to give his life and be the corpse his father-in-law needs in exchange for getting back what was once his.
